Quick answers for boards, finance teams, and event leads.
Eligibility & trust
Who can use RaiseGood?
RaiseGood is designed for IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. You verify your organization during onboarding before fundraising features unlock.
Do attendees need a staff login?
No. Supporters register per event with their contact information and use email plus a PIN to look up receipts. Staff use secure sign-in for the dashboard.
Plans & billing
How does annual billing work?
Starter and Professional platform plans are billed annually: you pay the price shown on our Pricing page for each twelve-month subscription period, unless we state otherwise at checkout. Self-serve annual Starter and Professional typically begin with a 14-day free trial before that paid period—confirm dates on Stripe Checkout before you pay. You can update payment method or review renewal through your organization’s Stripe customer billing portal when available.
When am I charged after I pick a paid plan?
After you finish onboarding, you complete payment through Stripe Checkout for your chosen plan. For annual Starter and Professional, Stripe shows any free trial and the first charge date before you confirm—when a trial applies, it is typically 14 days on those plans. If checkout does not start or you see an error, contact support and we will help you finish setup.
What if we only run a few fundraisers each year?
You can purchase per-event platform slots (up to three per billing period) instead of an annual subscription when that fits your calendar better. While a slot is active, limits match Starter. See our Pricing page for details and how that compares if you run four or more live events in the same period.
Events & fundraising
What can we run during an event?
You can run English-style auctions with bidding, standard raffles, and mystery box raffles where your configuration allows. You can also sell paid event admission with optional capacity and a Tickets flow in the supporter portal when you enable it—including requiring a paid ticket before bids or raffle purchases if your program calls for it. Exact formats depend on how your org configures each event.
Is there a live operations view?
Yes. The control center helps staff monitor activity while the event is running so you can respond quickly if something needs attention.
Payments & payouts
How do payouts reach our nonprofit?
Organizations connect a Stripe Express account so funds from successful charges can be transferred according to your Stripe setup and event rules.
Does RaiseGood take a percentage of ticket sales, raffle purchases, or auction payments?
No. RaiseGood is priced through your organization’s platform subscription (and per-event slots when you choose that path), not a cut of what supporters pay. Stripe’s card processing fees still apply separately—see the question in this section about what Stripe charges for card payments.
When do payouts arrive in our bank account?
After Stripe processes successful charges, available balance is paid out on a schedule set in your Stripe account (for example rolling payouts every few business days in many regions). Exact timing depends on Stripe, your bank, country, and account status—check your Stripe Dashboard for the current schedule and any holds.
What does Stripe charge to process card payments?
Stripe’s processing fees are separate from RaiseGood subscription pricing. For standard online card payments in the United States, Stripe’s published rate is typically 2.9% + $0.30 per successful charge. International cards, currency conversion, disputes, and other situations can add fees. Rates vary by country and agreement—see https://stripe.com/pricing for your account.
What do supporters receive after they pay?
Attendees can look up receipts with email and PIN so they have a record of event admission, raffle purchases, and winning bids.
Can supporters get a refund for tickets, raffle entries, or auction purchases?
During our pilot, refund requests for event admission, raffles, and auctions are reviewed case by case. Your organization processes eligible refunds through Stripe according to your event policies. For admission purchases, your staff may be able to issue a refund from the event dashboard when appropriate. For other supporter payments, contact us at [email protected] and we will help coordinate with your team. Platform subscription charges follow the terms shown at checkout and in our Terms of Service.
